Kuningan Terkini - Wakil Bupati Kuningan, Dede Sembada, membuka acara Festival Linggarjati, bertempat di halaman Gedung Naskah Perundingan Linggarjati, Desa Linggajati, Kecamatan Cilimus, Selasa (14/11/2017). Festival Linggarjati ini dugelar dalam rangka memperingati peristiwa bersejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia dalam merebut kemerdekaan serta rangka memperingati hari angklung sedunia.
“Salah satu upaya diplomasi adalah yang dilakukan pemerintah Republik Indonesia adalah perundingan yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11-13 November 1946 antara Pemerintah Republik Indonesia dan Pemerintah Belanda yang berlangsung di Desa Linggajati sehingga dikenal dengan Perundingan Linggarjati,” papar Wakil Bupati Kuningan, Dede Sembada dalam sambutannya.
Menurutnya, sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata sejarah terpopuler dan sebagai bangunan cagar budaya nasional sudah sepatutnya Ggedung Perundingan Linggarjati dijaga dan dilestarikan. Hal itu itu mengingat gedung ini secara tidak langsung telah menghantarkan bangsa Indonesia dalam meraih kemerdekaan.
“Festival Linggarjati seperti ini bisa menjadi ajang promosi pariwisata Kabupaten Kuningan sekaligus mengingatkan kembali bangsa Indonesia khususnya masyarakat Kabupaten Kuningan terkait perjuangan para pemimpin bangsa,” jelasnya. (Han)
